Favorite Finds: Our Favorite Eco-Friendly and Natural Pet Products from Global Pet Expo 2024

Anyone who had been to a trade show for work knows that they can be long , exhausting and well…boring. Global Pet Expo is one of the exceptions…at least in our book. Global Pet Expo is the pet industry’s premier international show, with over 1,000 companies showcasing their new products for your fur babies…and not so furry babies. But the one thing that sets this show apart…puppies! And lots of them! There are dogs of all sizes and breeds parading up and down the aisles looking for their next hand out of yummy treats, while their fur parent is looking to do a little business. You really cant help but make fantastic connections with your furry wing-man by your side.

This show is trade only and not open to the general public, so we wanted to give you a sneak peek of our favorite pet products we spotted at this year’s show. And of course, the had to be good for your pet, people and the planet.

MOLLY MUTT

Molly Mutt is another brand we are obsessed with. After a recommendation from a fellow writer to go check them out, we were hooked with their brand story and mission.

Molly Mutt makes dog bed covers….GENIUS! But wait...there’s more! In addition to making eco-friendly, durable, unique covers for the couch, your car and even their crates, Molly Mutt also designs covers to make your own pet bed out of old clothes, towels or sheets. You stuff them inside the cover and zip. Not only is this brilliant for recycling those materials, but it lets your pet have the scent of you if you leave them with a sitter or are trying to acclimate a new puppy at home.

However, the most impressive cover they make…a crib/toddler mattress cover. Did you know that crib/toddler mattresses cannot be recycled? They contain chemicals that make them fire-retardant. Did you also know that crib/toddler mattresses make excellent dog beds? I have told anyone who will listen to buy a used toddler bed off marketplace (Got mine for $7 at an auction!) for their dogs. We have three Australian Shepherds and our older one is turning 15 and will not use stairs to get on the bed. We put the toddler bed in front of our bed and it is is the best thing I ever spent money on. The only issue is that just covering with a sheet, the mattress underneath was trashed. We just got a new one (at the auction for $17.50) and didn’t want the same thing to happen, so we were looking for something more durable…and the universe answered with Molly Mutt! We cannot wait to purchase a cover in one of their original fabrics, designed by Molly herself. These are some of our favorites…

Earth Rated is our favorite poop bag…if one could have a favorite poop bag! Listen, they have to go and we have to pick it up…so why add more plastic waste to the environment! Ok, we know, candles are not exactly pet products, but these candles are special…and are made by pet parents for pet parents.

These ingredients can aggravate respiratory illnesses, like asthma, and cause lead poisoning. However, Pet House Candles by One Fur All are made with you and your pet in mind.

K9 Granola Factory

As pet owners, we are always looking for treats for our fur babies, but also making sure that they are healthy and safe. We also don’t want the same old boring cookies, jerkies or biscuits.

What about coffee and donuts? Coffee for you (my dogs do NOT need any more energy!) and donuts for them! And maybe some granola and other goodies!

Janie, the founder of the K9 Granola Factory was on a mission to create something different…she had a strong desire to design a unique line of dog treats like nothing seen before... a desire to craft a local dog treat, made by local people. After several recipes, success and the K9 Granola Company was born. As the family business continues to grow, they realized the importance of designing flavors that are not only nutritious, but delicious too. There are probably a dozen more brands we could add from the hundreds that we saw at the show, but these are definitely some of our favorites. Our pets mean the world to us and we want to give them only the best, safest treats and products, but from brands that care…whether that is giving back to the environment, charitable causes or just giving you as pet owners, peace of mind. So support small business. And support brands that are doing great things for your pets and for you.

BBB - BOHO BLUE BEST

One pet brand that was not at Global Pet Expo, but we are RAVING FANS of is Pet Wellbeing.

Pet Wellbeing is one of the best pet brands, if not THE BEST. Why? Because they can literally save your pet’s life!

I found Pet Wellbeing when our oldest dog was diagnosed what appeared to be cancer.
